Screen, door and rail repair
A torn panel, a door that drags, a rail post that moves when you lean on it. We look at the whole porch, not only the hole.
Small jobs are welcome, and each one ends with a short written note on what else we saw, so the next one doesn't surprise you.

What changes the cost
What moves the number
There's no figure on this page. Your written plan prices each of these.
How many panels
One torn panel is a short visit; a porch full of sagging panels is a day or more.
The mesh
Standard, no-see-um, pet-resistant and heavy-duty screens differ in price.
Rot
Soft wood has to come out before a screen goes back, and each piece adds work.
Height and access
Second-story porches and tight spaces take longer and need more equipment.
The finish
Matching old paint or stain can mean painting a whole panel.
Bundling
Several repairs in one visit usually cost less than several visits.

Questions about screen, door and rail repair
Can you re-screen just one panel?
Yes. Panels are framed so one comes out on its own. If the others are the same age, we'll tell you how they look, and you decide.
Is a screen patch worth trying?
For a pinhole, yes, and we'll say so. For anything bigger, the patch lets in bugs around its edge and the tear keeps growing.
How long do porch screens last?
Sun, pollen buildup and pets decide it more than age. Screens on a west wall in full sun are usually the first to go.
Can you fix a porch floor that has sagged?
Often. A sag means soft framing or a failing footing underneath. We find which before we quote.
A porch that needs some attention?
Text us a photo of what's wrong and the porch as a whole.
