Before you sign

Three things to ask any porch builder

  • Is the license current?

Look it up on the licensing board's site. Ask for the number if it isn't on the proposal.

  • Who is insured?

Ask for a certificate, with your name or your HOA's on it.

  • Who pulls the permit?

The builder should, and should show you the approval.
