What we build and fix
Pick the job closest to yours. If it sits between two, the visit sorts it out.
Roof, floor and screen on every open side, built to the house.
A glassed-in room, with or without heating and cooling.
Screen panels, a door and repairs for a porch you already have.
Panels, doors, rails and trim fixed, with a note on what else we see.
Beadboard, damp-rated fans, lights and floors that shed water.
Lift-out panels, tied-down roofs and a one-page storm plan.
Before any of them
What every plan has in it
Drawings and a permit
We draw it, apply to the building department and wait for approval before ordering.
Materials by name
The screen, the decking, the paint and the fasteners are listed, so you can compare plans.
What's left out
Furniture, extra electrical and HOA fees are named, so none of it surprises you.
Common questions before a first visit
Do I need a permit?
Usually, yes. Building a new porch or enclosing an existing one is normally permitted by the City of Mobile or the county where you live. We prepare the drawings and apply; your building department has the final say.
Does my homeowners association have a say?
If you have one, almost always. We give you drawings and material samples in the form your architectural review board asks for, and we don't order anything until it approves.
How and when do I pay?
In stages, written into the agreement before work starts: a deposit, payments as each part of the work is done, and a last payment after the walk-through. Alabama doesn't set one number for every job, so we state the amounts and the stages in your plan.
Not sure which one you need?
Send a photo of the porch, deck or patio and tell us what bothers you about it.
